How the AI resume analyzer works
Paste or upload your resume and get an ATS-style score, line-by-line fixes and a rewritten version, plus a match score against any job description. Every tool is free — you only need a free account.
Add your resume
Paste up to 12,000 characters, or upload a PDF, DOCX, TXT or Markdown file up to 5 MB. Scanned, image-only PDFs can't be read.
Add the target role
Optional, but a role and company make the feedback specific. Paste a job description for JD Match, cover letters and interview questions.
Choose a tool
Six tools work from the same resume: Analyze, Rewrite, JD Match, Cover Letter, Interview Qs and Roast.
Apply the fixes
Rewrite merges stronger bullet points into an editable copy of your resume that you can download as a text file.
Practice the interview
Interview Qs predicts the questions your resume invites, with model answers, and you can take them straight into the AI voice interview.
What each tool gives you
Analyze
An ATS score out of 100 with a short summary, scores on five dimensions — ATS Compatibility, Impact & Metrics, Action Verbs, Clarity and Role Fit — plus grammar and tone issues and suggested bullet rewrites.
Rewrite
5 to 8 rewritten bullet points, merged into an editable copy of your resume.
JD Match
A match percentage against the job description, the keywords you already cover, the ones you're missing, and suggestions.
Cover Letter
A three-paragraph cover letter for the role, ready to copy or download.
Interview Qs
7 to 9 questions an interviewer is likely to ask about your resume, each with why they ask it, a model answer and follow-ups.
Roast
A blunt, funny critique of buzzwords, vague lines and weak metrics, with a fix for each and a shareable score badge.
Frequently asked questions
Is the resume analyzer free?
Yes. Every tool is free and doesn't count toward any plan limit. You need a free account to use it.
What file types does it accept?
PDF, DOCX, TXT and Markdown up to 5 MB, or paste the text directly (up to 12,000 characters). Scanned PDFs that contain only images can't be read.
What is an ATS score?
Applicant tracking systems (ATS) parse resumes before a recruiter sees them. The ATS score is our 0–100 estimate of how well your resume holds up to that screening and how strong its content is, with five dimension scores showing where points were lost.
Can it compare my resume to a job description?
Yes. JD Match returns a match percentage, the keywords you already cover and the ones you're missing, with suggestions to close the gap.
Is my resume stored?
Your resume is sent to our AI model provider to produce the analysis and isn't saved to our database. The text box also autosaves in your own browser so you don't lose your work.
